Day 160

Of all the kings mentioned in the reading for today, only one was faithful to the Lord. Asa followed the Lord and removed all other idols and gods from the land.

When Zerah the Ethiopian came out against Asa with 1 million men, Asa turned to the Lord. 2 Chronicles 14 verse 11 says, "And Asa cried to the Lord his God, 'O Lord, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on You, and in Your name we have come against this multitude. O Lord You are our God; let not man prevail against You.'"

I think this is an awesome display of faith and trust in the Lord. Asa had 580,000 men against 1 million, and they killed all 1 million men with the Lord's help.

I rest in the comfort of knowing that I too can humble myself and cry out to the Lord, knowing He will hear me and take care of me. Thank you Lord.
