Day 289

In today's reading, Jesus says in Luke 11 verse 28, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

I need a reminder like this one that says it is not only good enough to read, but what I am reading must be kept and followed through with.

These readings are a two step process. The first is obviously reading it, but the second is retention. This can be done by thinking about what was read several times that day and it can also be done by memorization and other ways.

I believe this is important to keep the intent of the passage fresh in my mind and live it throughout the day.
