I like the way Jesus explains the benefits of being humble in Luke 14 verses 7 through 11. He describes how it brings honor when one is humble and lifted up, but brings shame when one is proud and brought down.
Jesus also said in Luke 13 verse 30 says, "And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last."
One of the many lessons Jesus teaches is to be humble in all circumstances. It will only bring honor to your name. I will strive to be humble and put others before me.
