Chapter 8 goes through the ordination process for Aaron and his sons to work in the tabernacle. I find it interesting how it was a way of cleansing them before starting the work of the Lord.
First Moses washed them with water, then anointed them with oil, then gave a sin offering for them, then a burnt offering, then finally the ordination offering. It was a process to remove their physical dirt, then their dirt of sin, then making them pure for the service of the Lord.
I wonder if I am pure when trying to do the Lord's work. Am I clean and cleansed when trying to fulfill God's plan for me? Does this get in the way of my service to Him? I need to keep this in mind as I believe it may hinder me from using my gifts for the Lord.
