It is a comfort for me to know that through all things, the Lord remains faithful. 2 Chronicles 21 verses 6 and 7 say, "And [Jehoram] walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, Yet the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that He had made with David, and since He had promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever."
Jehoram was wicked and did not follow the Lord. However, the Lord kept His word and remained faithful. This is a comfort for me to know that I serve a God who is faithful, even when I am not. I know that He will always be my God even when I am not always faithful to Him.
Thank you Lord for being a forgiving, faithful God who will not turn from me.
