Day 206

I have had 3 of my 4 grandparents pass away. I have had an aunt pass away and several others who were very close to me pass away. Each time it was tough.

But Isaiah offers some advice. He says in chapter 51 verse 12, "I, I am He who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass..."

I like this verse because it is a reality check again for me. The Lord is saying that He is the one who comforts me, so why be afraid of others passing away? The Lord made people to pass away, just like the grass.

God does not promise that others will not pass away, but He does promise that He will be there to comfort us when others do. What an awesome and loving, caring God!
