Day 278

I feel that I can relate to the parable of the sower. Mark 4 verses 18 and 19 say, "And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desire for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful."

I have a strong base in the word. I have been raised as a Christian all my life. But I continue to falter in my faith as the cares and concerns of this world choke my faith. I worry about finances and safety and many other things that deter me from true faith.

However, I am working on ridding myself of these things that choke my faith. It is not an easy process, but it is a rewarding one. I desire to have the kind of faith that never can be swayed and I am getting there.

Don't be afraid or unwilling to take on the process of removing the cares and concerns of life that choke one's faith. It is far more rewarding and worth while.
