I love the story of how Jesus calms the storm. Jesus and the disciples are in a boat and a storm arises. The waves get bigger, the wind gets stronger and the boat is starting to take on water. The disciples awake a sleeping Jesus and confront about the storm.
Matthew 8 verses 26 and 27 say, "And He said to them, 'Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?' Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, 'What sort of a man is this, that even winds and sea obey Him?'"
I know quite often I run to Jesus, concerned or frightened about one thing or another. And each time Jesus comes back and says, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?"
Why am I afraid? Why do I worry? Is my faith that small? I am finding out that it is all about faith and trust. I need to work on having both.
