I am all too often like Peter. I see something miraculous like Jesus walking on the water, or have my faith strengthened in some way and I take a step of faith too. I get out of the boat to walk on water to Jesus.
Unfortunately, all too often, I am like Peter. I get a little ways out, and I see all that is around me, the storm that I am in and I loose sight of Jesus. I start to sink. I then, always, hear the Lord say to me as He said to Peter in Matthew 14 verse 31, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
I am faced with that question a lot. Why did I doubt? I know the Lord can do all things and I know He will take care of me. There is no reason to doubt. I will strive to have faith and not doubt.
