What encouraging words Paul gives in 2 Thessalonians 2 verses 14 and 15. They say, "[The Lord] called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that were taught by us..."
I like that mandate to stand firm. It clearly portrays how we as Christians are empowered through Christ. With Christ in us, we are able to stand firm before all that is thrown at us but the evil one because Christ is in us, with us and for us!
I will stand firm in the promise that the Lord is with me and I am in Christ. I can stand firm with the confidence of knowing the Lord is with me, who can be against me?
