2 Corinthians 8 verse 15 struck me hard. It says, "Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack."
I believe this pertains to finances, and is saying if you save and save and save and try to have it all for yourself, you will never have enough. However, if what you have you give away and bless others, you will always have enough.
This is a tough concept for me to handle. I have been trained to think that if I have x amount and give away y, I now have x-y left over. But that is not necessarily how it works. When we bless others, we receive back as well.
God calls us to use our gifts to bless others. I need to stop gathering, and start giving!

It is so easy to say it is more blessed to give than to receive, until, in order to give, we must sacrifice. We like to give out of our abundance, but have we ever tried to give even when we ourselves are in need? As Christians, this is a matter of trust. Even the wealthy atheist is willing to give because he is without need, but as Christians, even though we may not be wealthy, can still give abundantly because we have the faith that assures us God will take care of our needs, our money does not have to.
