Day 107

What a great friend Jonathan was to David. He went to David when David was downcast. David was on the run from Saul and was hiding in the wilderness.

Jonathan knew that David needed him. Chapter 23 verse 16 and 17 says, "And Jonathan...strengthened his hand in God. And he said to him, 'Do not fear, for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you. You shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next to you. Saul my father also knows this.'"

Jonathan, David's friend, strengthened David's hand in God. Jonathan encouraged David in his faith. David is known as one of the greatest kings of Israel. He is also known as the most faithful to God. Even so, he still needed encouragement in his faith, and also in his purpose.

I hope and pray that I can be as good of a friend, and also an encouragement to others. I hope that I can encourage others in their faith and in their purpose in God's plan. Thanks be to God for friends.
