Day 153

There was one verse in today's passage that really caught my attention. Proverbs 20 verse 5 says, "The purpose in a man's heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out."

To me this is saying that only a man of understanding, a wise man, will be able to have purpose in his life. Others may be able to see their purpose in life, but cannot have it or fulfill it.

I also see the connection. The only way to have purpose is to be a man of understanding. And to be a man of understanding, a wise man, one must pursue the Lord in all things. They must chase after Him with their whole heart. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

I will continue to chase after the Lord.
