I always found it interesting (and still do) what happens to something waxy when it gets near a fire. It seems like no time at all passes as the object withers and becomes goo.
The Psalms read focus on the majesty of the Lord and how great He is. Psalm 97 verse 5 blew me away when describing how majestic the Lord is. verse 5 says, "The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth."
Even the mountains become like goo before the Lord! To me, that paints a very clear picture of how awesome and majestic the Lord is. What a mighty God we serve!
