How joyful that must have been for David to bring the ark back to Israel. So much so he was dancing before the Lord (2 Samuel 6:14).
This also goes to show what a great leader David was and also shows his faith and loyalty to God. He brought the ark back and re-instated the laws of sacrifice and offerings. This to me shows how he trusted God and knew God. He knew that Israel needed God.
This is a good lesson for me to always trust God and also work to get to know God. For I know that I need God and cannot do anything without Him.
