My God is a fair God. He is a just God and a loving God.
1 Chronicles 5 describes the half-tribe of Manasseh. They became very numerous, however, as their numbers grew, they broke faith with the Lord and chased after evil.
As a result, the Lord placed on the king of Assyria's heart to take the half-tribe of Manasseh into exile. The Lord punished them for straying away from the Him.
It is a tough love. The Lord punishes us because He loves us. He wants us to know when we do wrong so we can learn from it and draw closer to Him. That is what love is.
