Day 64

In the passage for today, there is the Death of Aaron (chapter 20 verses 22 through 29). I remember reading that Aaron was older than Moses, but it is still surprising to me that he passed away before Moses.

The last verse of this passage blows me away! Verse 29 says, "And when all the congregation saw that Aaron had perished, all the house of Israel wept for Aaron thirty days." It is sad when someone passes away, but the whole congregation wept for thirty days! Not just sad, or disheartened, but WEPT for thirty days! What an impact Aaron must have had on those people.

I hope and pray that I can make an impact on others similar to Aaron so much so that the only reaction when I pass away is to weep! I wonder how I am doing now? Am I impacting others in Christ so much so that the only logical reaction is to weep?
