Day 70

An interesting concept is introduced in chapter 35, verses 9 and following. It is the concept of cities of refuge. These are places to go to remain safe from those seeking revenge on you until it can be determined if revenge is due.

I think, to an extent, God calls Christians to be a city of refuge. He calls us to be people who do not judge, but show love to all. He still agrees with punishment, but do not judge or take action, until it is proven.

I admit, I quite often judge. People may be coming to me for a refuge, but I still judge. I need to work on seeing people through the eyes of Christ. I need to quit judging others and show Christ's love instead.
