Day 127

I envy David's undying faith in God. This is elaborated in Psalm 20, verses 6 through 8, "Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright."

I think what David is saying here is very powerful and very straight forward. Some people trust in chariots, horses, tanks, planes, bombs, money, fame or friends, but we trust in the Lord. Because of this, those others will fall, but we will always have the Lord to stand.

Very simple concept, yet extremely difficult to accept. I can see planes, tanks and bombs, but I cannot always see the Lord or feel His presence. However, only by trusting the Lord will we stand. Period. I thank the Lord for this simple, yet important concept.
