I wish I could see what Solomon's temple looked like! This was a massive project for Solomon's time. It involved help from another country, tens of thousands of men, and 7 years to build.
Yet, Solomon did not obsess over himself, but continually gave credit to God. 2 Chronicles 2 verse 6 says, "But who is able to build Him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain Him? Who am I to build a house for Him, except as a place to make offerings before Him?"
Solomon is wise. His wisdom comes from God and he is wise enough to know that Solomon is nothing compared to God.
I have to remember that no matter how great the feat, or how great the accomplishment, who am I compared to God? The things I do are to only give Glory to God, because nothing I do compares to Him.
