I am finding there is a lot of wisdom in the Psalms. I was shown this today by Psalm 39 verse 6 which says, "...man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!"
I believe this is saying that many spend their whole life trying to accumulate wealth and money, but for what purpose? In the end, everyone dies and all their wealth and money stays here. Because of that fact alone, chasing after wealth is futile!
So what does the Lord require? "Fear the LORD your God, walk in all His ways, love Him, serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I am commanding you today for your good" (Deuteronomy 10 verses 12 and 13)
