Day 144

In 2 Chronicles 7, God gives advice to us on how to pray. He says in verse 14, "If my people, who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear..."

He gives us 3 requirements. First is to humble ourselves. To me this means to know that I am nothing without God. I need Him every minute of every day.

The second is to seek His face. To me, this means to chase after Him; be in His word and pursuing Him.

And the last is to turn from our wicked ways. To me this is fairly self explanatory, just difficult to do sometimes.

If we come before Him with these criteria met, He will hear our prayer! I need to keep this in mind to prepare myself to come before Him. Thank you Lord for giving me an outline of how to prepare myself for You.
