Another one of my favorite stories in the Bible is found in the reading today. It is where Ezekiel prophesies to the dry bones in the valley and they come to life!
Ezekiel 37 describes this event and how Ezekiel prophesies to the bones and the bones come together, tendons and skin cover them, however, there was no breath in them. Ezekiel had to prophesy to the breath to enter them so they may truly live.
This reminds me of man. We are a collection of bones, tendons, muscles and skin. However, we are not truly alive without the breath of the Lord in us. Ezekiel 37 verse 14 says, "And I will put my Spirit withing you, and you shall live..."
I thank the Lord for breathing in me; for filling me with His Spirit, so that I may truly be alive. I pray that others will also be filled with the breath of the Lord and truly live.
