When Jesus went to pray in the garden, He knew what was ahead of Him. He knew that there was going to be great suffering and pain. However, Jesus still did it.
What an example Jesus is for us! When He was praying in the garden, knowing what was ahead, Jesus prayed in Luke 22 verse 42, "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me. Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done."
How much strength and faith it takes to say, "Not my will, but Yours be done." It is a reminder that we are not on this Earth for ourselves, but to give glory to the Lord. It is all for Him!
I pray that the Lord works in me for His glory. I pray that His will is done through me. Not my will, but His be done!
