Day 319

I find it amazing, the great example Paul and Silas were! They were spreading the Gospel to town after town. They were then thrown in prison for advocating customs that did not follow the Roman ways.

Acts 16 verse 25 says, "About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them."

Paul and Silas were thrown in prison for spreading the Gospel, but still they praise the Lord! They are in a cold, stone prison with shackles on their hands and feet, but they are still singing! For they know the Lord has them there for a reason and are resting in that comfort. They have faith that the Lord will bring them out.

What an example of faith and trust! Even when they are in prison with shackles on, they continue to praise and believe! I must learn from Paul and Silas to always trust, and always believe, no matter what!
