Day 317

As I am going through these readings, I am finding that I both want and need to rely on God for everything.

I try to do good. I try to set an example of Christ in all that I do. However, in the end, that really means nothing! Galations 2 verse 16 says, "yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified."

No matter what I do, I cannot earn my way to Salvation! It is only by faith in Christ that we are saved! No matter how good we are, we still need God! We need His grace and mercy.

Once we believe, we are to do good and set an example of Him in response to His grace and mercy in order to glorify Him! We do these things to glorify Him, but not to be saved. This is good to keep in mind!
