It was interesting to go through some of the genealogy in these chapters and hear how long each of these people lived. I am 24 and have experienced quite a bit already, but I cannot imagine what one would go through in 969 years like Methuselah. Just to put this in perspective, the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776 making the United States of America roughly 234 years old. Methuselah was more than 4 times the current age of our country when he died!
I also thought it was interesting how the book of Genesis uses 3 chapters to describe the ages and who gave birth to who, while Chronicles uses 4 verses to talk about the same thing. I have not had much involvement in Chronicles, but I am interested in looking into this book a little more.
