After all of Solomon's studies, he provides a closing statement at the end of the book of Ecclesiastes. Chapter 12 verses 11 through 13 say, "The words of the wise are...like nails firmly fixed...My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. The end of the matter, all has been heard. Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man."
I see he gives 2 points. The first is the words of the wise will firmly hold one together, but do not focus on this too much. The second point is to fear God and keep His commandments. This is our duty.
To me, it seems like Solomon is saying it is all about balance. Wisdom is great to pursue, but don't only focus on that. The main thing is to fear God and keep His commandments. This is good to know the prioritization set by the Lord.
