Jehu is a man who means business. He tricked all of those who followed and worshiped Ball and put them all to death. 2 Kings 10 verse 27 says, "And they demolished the pillar of Baal, and demolished the house of Baal, and made it a latrine to this day."
This shows me how serious Jehu was about those who worshiped Baal, and it shows me how seriously the Lord takes sin. No mercy was given to these men, and in the end, where they died and where their temple was, was made into a permanent bathroom!
I need to take sin more seriously because I know the Lord sees it as serious.
