It seems to me, quite often, Ahab behaves like a child. When Naboth does not give Ahab his vineyard, "Ahab went into his house vexed and sullen" (1 Kings 21 verse 4).
Also, in 2 Chronicles 18 verse 7, Ahab says, "...There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil." He didn't want to get Micaiah's input because it was always bad! Even if it was true!
But that makes me think how often I ignore or run away from the negative aspects about Christ; about Hell and the seriousness of sin. How often do I act like a child? I think I am more like Ahab that what it seems. I will strive to accept both the good and the bad in order to have a better understanding of my God.
