Ezekiel 11 verses 14 through 25 describes the restoration of Israel. It says all the inhabitants of Israel will be called back and the Lord will work in their hearts.
Ezekiel 11 verses 19 and 20 say, "And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh that they may walk in My statutes and keep My rules and obey them. And they shall be My people and I will be their God."
I think there are a few things to note here. First, the Lord gives a new heart and a new spirit. It does not come from what we do, but from the Lord. Also, once the Lord gives a new heart and a new spirit, they shall be the Lord's people and the Lord will be their God.
Salvation and grace is not given by anything we do, but instead, by what the Lord does! All He asks is that we trust and have faith. What a great and generous God!
