Again, I am reminded of the Lord's faithfulness to His people.
The people of Israel and Judah deserve to be punished for their wickedness. That is why the Lord is allowing Nebuchadnezzar to take over Israel and Judah. However, Jeremiah 32 verses 37, 38 and 40 say, "I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God...I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of Me in their hearts, that they may not turn from Me."
The Lord has promised that we are His and He is ours. He will not turn from us if we are faithful to Him! What a comfort that is to know that I am the Lord's and He is mine!
What an amazing and faithful God I serve!
