Day 223

I always find the Lord's words challenging. Jeremiah 23 verses 23 and 24 say, "Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord."

I really like it when the Lord speaks in rhetorical questions, because it makes me realize that the questions He asks are always no brainers.

Of course the Lord is a God that is always with us. Of course no one can hide themselves from God. Of course He is the Lord of heaven and earth.

So why do we act the way we do? Why do we act like the Lord is not with us or that He cannot do everything? These actions and thoughts are pointless!
